What’s your favorite way to spend a day off?
My favorite way to spend a day off is at home reading! I spend a lot of time on the go rushing from class and running errands so it’s nice to slow down, light a candle and relax with a new book.
Where’s the next place on your travel bucket list and why?
The next place on my bucket list is Australia. Before the pandemic, I was planning on studying abroad in Sydney but didn’t have the chance to. I have always wanted to go and spend some time exploring the coastal regions and decide if I could live in another country at some point in my life.
What originally got you interested in your current field of work?
I became interested in this field of work through my passion for music. I’m a big fan of live entertainment and pop culture so I became inspired to work in the public relations field after spending my free time seeing amazing music campaigns and different growth opportunities artists had because of their PR teams.
What’s one work-related thing you want to accomplish in the next year?
As a senior in my final semester, one work-related thing I would like to accomplish is securing a full-time job in the public relations field after graduation.
If you could do it all over again, would you pursue the same career? Why or why not?
If I had to do it all over again, I would definitely pursue the same career. I began as a psychology major, but during the pandemic I became curious about what else I could see myself doing career-wise, which resulted in applying for a second degree in Communications with a concentration in Public Relations. I will never regret this choice and thank myself every day for taking on another challenge because it has been an amazing experience and truly something I wake up excited to work for!
