Evergreen & Oak is thrilled to welcome our newest summer intern- Mahogany Burrus! We are excited to have her join our team. Mahogany is a graduate from North Carolina A&T State University, where she received a Bachelor’s degree in Journalism and Mass Communication with a concentration in public relations. Mahogany has already hit the ground running, working hand-in-hand with our team to create client-ready deliverables. Mahogany is an impressive individual and we can’t wait to see the impact that she will make at Evergreen & Oak. Get to know a little bit more about our latest rockstar intern:
If you could only eat one food for the rest of your life, what would it be?
If I could only eat one food for the rest of my life, I think it would be pizza! There are so many ways to enjoy it with endless combinations and it’s so easy to make at home. I love a good pepperoni pizza with hot honey!
Where’s the next place on your travel bucket list and why?
The next stop on my travel bucket list would have to be Puerto Rico. My best friend recently moved there and has fully embraced the island lifestyle. From the culture to the beautiful beaches, it is somewhere I need to see.
How would your 10-year-old self react to what you do now?
My 10-year-old self would be so proud that I found a career I enjoy but also be confused as to why I didn’t end up on America’s Next Top Model and become a supermodel? Nonetheless, I’m still very happy that all my hard work has resulted in success.
What career advice would you give to your younger self?
If I could give my younger self career advice, it would be to go where you are valued. Follow your gut and things will work out.
What’s the best career advice you’ve ever heard?
The best career advice I have received has honestly been, choose a job that you love and you never have to work a day in your life.
Evergreen & Oak is looking for new rockstars to join our team! If you’re interested in being an intern, send your resumes to email@example.com!
